Yesandi is currently in Beta. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We do not guarantee that the Service will be bug-free or uninterrupted, and occasional data loss or service interruptions may occur. By using the Service during this phase, you acknowledge that you are using pre-release software at your own risk. We may modify or discontinue features at any time without notice.
This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You. We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
- Account — A unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.
- Affiliate — An entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
- Application — Refers to Yesandi, the software program provided by the Company.

- Cookies — Small files that are placed on Your computer, mobile device or any other device by a website, containing the details of Your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
- Country — Refers to Australia.
- Device — Any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cell phone or a digital tablet.
- Personal Data — Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. We use "Personal Data" and "Personal Information" interchangeably unless a law uses a specific term.
- Service — Refers to the Application or the Website or both.
- Service Provider — Any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
- Usage Data — Data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
- Website — Refers to Yesandi, accessible from https://yesandi.app.
- You — The individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Username
- Profile photo (avatar)
- Usage Data
User Accounts
To use Yesandi You must create an account. When You register, We collect Your email address, first and last name, and a username You choose. You may optionally upload a profile photo. Your account information is stored securely via Supabase and is used solely to provide You with the Service. You can update or delete Your account information at any time from Your account settings.
User-Generated Content
Yesandi allows You to create and share content including events (titles, descriptions, dates, venue details, and images), messages sent to other users, and wishlist entries. Content You create may be visible to other users of the Service depending on your privacy settings. We store this content on Our servers and those of Our Service Providers. You retain ownership of content You create, but by posting it You grant Us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Service.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device's unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Information Collected while Using the Application
While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:
- Pictures and other information from your Device's camera and photo library
- Approximate location (city-level) from your Device's GPS or network positioning
We use this information to provide features of Our Service, to improve and customise Our Service. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time through Your Device settings.
Location data: When You first visit the Discover tab, We will ask for permission to access Your device's approximate location. This is used solely to determine which city (Melbourne or Sydney) to show You events for. Only the resulting city name is stored on Your profile — Your precise coordinates are never retained or transmitted beyond Your device. You can change or clear Your city preference at any time in Settings. Location data is not shared with third parties and is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies We use include beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyse Our Service.
The technologies We use may include:
- Cookies or Browser Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on Your Device. You can instruct Your browser to refuse all Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. However, if You do not accept Cookies, You may not be able to use some parts of our Service.
- Web Beacons. Certain sections of our Service and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics.
We use both Session and Persistent Cookies. Session Cookies are deleted as soon as You close Your web browser. Persistent Cookies remain on Your device when You go offline.

Vercel Web Analytics
Our Service is hosted and analysed using Vercel, Inc. Vercel Web Analytics collects aggregated, anonymised data about page views, visitor counts, and general usage patterns. Vercel Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sessions or sites. Data collected includes referrer URLs, browser type, country-level location (derived from IP address, which is not stored), and page paths.

Email Communications
We send transactional and notification emails to users of the Service. These emails may include:
- Account verification and authentication emails
- Event notifications — when a friend You follow (and have opted in to receive notifications from) creates a new event
- Service-related announcements (e.g. changes to these policies)
Email notifications are opt-in and per-friend: You choose which friends' events trigger an email to You. You can manage these preferences at any time in Your account settings.
We use Postmark (Wildbit, LLC) to deliver outbound emails. Postmark may process Your email address and delivery metadata in accordance with their privacy policy at https://postmarkapp.com/privacy-policy
We will not send You unsolicited marketing emails. If You believe You have received an email from Us in error, please contact us at hello@yesandi.app
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service — including to monitor the usage of our Service.
- To manage Your Account — to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
- To contact You — To contact You by email or other equivalent forms of electronic communication regarding updates, security notices, or informative communications related to the Service.
- To provide You with news and updates — about other goods, services and events which We offer that are similar to those that you have already used or enquired about, unless You have opted not to receive such information.

Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data
The Service Providers We use may have access to Your Personal Data. These third-party vendors collect, store, use, process and transfer information about Your activity on Our Service in accordance with their Privacy Policies.
Google Places
Google Places is a service that returns information about places using HTTP requests. It is operated by Google and is used by Yesandi to provide venue autocomplete when creating events.

Supabase
Yesandi uses Supabase to store user accounts, events, and other application data. Supabase processes Personal Data on Our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy at https://supabase.com/privacy
Postmark
We use Postmark to send transactional emails. Postmark processes Your email address and delivery metadata in accordance with their privacy policy at https://postmarkapp.com/privacy-policy
Vercel
Our Service is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process Usage Data in connection with hosting and analytics services in accordance with their privacy policy at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Cloudflare
Our Service uses two Cloudflare products:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, client-side analytics tool that measures page performance (including Core Web Vitals) and visit counts. It does not use cookies or any client-side storage, and does not track individual users across sessions or sites.
- Cloudflare CDN & DNS — our domain is proxied through Cloudflare's network, which processes network-level data for every request (including IP addresses, request URLs, and browser information) for security and performance purposes. This occurs at the network layer and does not involve cookies placed by Us.
Cloudflare's security features may occasionally set a cf_clearance cookie for bot protection purposes. This is an essential security cookie and is outside Our direct control.

Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
- User Accounts: retained for the duration of your account relationship plus up to 24 months after account closure.
- Usage Data: up to 24 months from the date of collection.
- Support correspondence: up to 24 months from ticket closure.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. You may update, amend, or delete Your information at any time by signing in to Your Account and visiting the account settings section. You may also contact Us to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Data that You have provided to Us.
Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency). - Right to Delete: You have the right to request that We delete any personal information We have collected from You, subject to certain exceptions.

CalOPPA Disclosure (California Online Privacy Protection Act)
CalOPPA is the first state law in the USA to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. According to CalOPPA, We agree to the following:
- Users can visit Our Service anonymously.
- Once this Privacy Policy is created, We will add a link to it on Our home page or at a minimum on the first significant page after entering Our Website.
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word "Privacy" and can be easily found on each page of Our Website.
- You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes via a notice on Our Service and/or by email.
- You can change Your personal information by emailing Us or through Your account settings.
- We honour Do Not Track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third-party link, You will be directed to that third party's site.
